Transfer Applicants 

Concerning transfer to AUB, please note the following:

If a student completes less than 60 credits (60 credits:30 Freshman and 30 Sophomore) at another recognized Institution of higher learning, the following documents will be required to apply as a transfer student:

1- High school records during the last 3 years of high school (grade 10-11-12).
2- SAT1 exam.
3- Updated Official University transcript.

4- English Language Proficiency Requirements (upon admission, the applicant must show a level of proficiency in the English language by obtaining a minimum score of 573 on the paper based TOEFL or 230 on the computer based TOEFL or 88 on the Internet based TOEFL or 500 on the university English Entrance Examination or 380 and above on the writing section of the SAT 1 or 5.5 on IELTS)

Admission is competitive and equally based on the above requirements (high school grades+SAT scores:reading+math only)

On the other hand, if a student completes 60 or more credits (60 credits: 30 Freshman and 30 Sophomore) at another recognized institution of higher learning, we will require the following:

1- Updated Official University transcript.
2- Detailed syllabi of all courses taken
3- English Language Proficiency Requirements (upon admission, the applicant must show a level of proficiency in the English language by obtaining a minimum score of 573 on the paper based TOEFL or 230 on the computer based TOEFL or 88 on the Internet based TOEFL or 500 on the university English Entrance Examination or 380 and above on the writing section of the SAT 1 or 5.5 on IELTS) Students who studied for 2 years at a university in US/UK/CANADA/AUSTRALIA are exempted.


Admission in this case is based on university GPA and each department has its own requirements.

You may get transferable credits for courses taken at another university, only if the courses match AUB requirements in term of contents and grades. To know more about this issue, please visit:

We usually consider applications for transfer from all universities which are accredited by the ministry of higher education in their home countries.

The deadline to apply as a transfer student (less than 60 credits) for the fall semester 2012-2013 is February 1, 2012.

The deadline to apply as a transfer student (60 or more credits) for the fall semester 2012-2013 is April 30, 2012.

The deadline to apply as a transfer student (any level) for the spring semester 2012-2013 is November 30, 2012.

Applicants wishing to transfer to AUB, must do the following:

Transferring with less than 60 credits:

5- Application fees (50$) can be paid in one of the following ways:
    
Cash: at the cashier’s office in AUB (PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH IN MAIL)
Check: you can place a 50$ check along with the application and the documents and mail them to us at the admissions office (please note that only checks drawn to US or Lebanese Banks are acceptable).
