A trustee since 2007, Bellamy is the chair of the UNWTO World Tourism Network on Child Protection and a member of the board of Innovative Finance. She was previously chair, Global Partnership for Education, executive director of UNICEF, and director of the Peace Corps. She held elective public office for 13 years, including serving as a New York State senator and as president of the New York City Council. She was the first woman to hold citywide office in New York City. Her early career in law and investment banking included work at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Morgan Stanley. She is a graduate of Gettysburg College (AB ’63) and New York University (JD ’68).
