Each year, AUB instructors are invited to apply to attend the Mellon Summer Seminar on Creative Use of Resources in Course Design. The multi-week seminar assists them in the integration of various academic resources available at AUB into their courses. Initially funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the seminar is now supported by AUB.

The three components of the Summer Seminar are:

• Information Literacy (Information Services Department, University Libraries)
• Instructional Technologies (Academic Computing Center)
• Syllabus Design (Center for Teaching and Learning)
