The IT Academic Core Processes and Systems holds many events throughout the year to reach out to the AUB community, more specifically to the faculty members, and to promote the different services offered. Some of these events occur periodically like the brown bags and others, listed below, are general events that were offered by the former ACC and ACPS.
Mahara Launch – April 14, 2010
|
The Academic Computing Center officially launched Mahara, the AUB e-portfolio application during a 3-part special presentation on the main uses of the application, held on April 14 in West Hall. The event was broken up into 3 presentations, for faculty, staff and students, each targeting the specific needs of each type of user. Blended Learning Workshop – June 1-3, 2009

In June 2009, ACC invited Dr. Alan Aycock (PhD, University of Toronto) professor of Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), to give a workshop on blended (hybrid) course redesign to selected AUB faculty members. Read more Article about the event Image Slideshow

ACC Open House – April 1, 2009

On April 1st, 2009, ACC held an Open House at its new office location in Van Dyck Annex Building. The main purpose of the event was for AUB faculty and staff members to visit our new offices, meet our wonderful staff, and see posters illustrating the vast spectrum of work done at ACC! Web 2.0 – March 12–13, 2008

The Academic Computing Center organized a two-day seminar introducing some of the integrative and pedagogical uses of Web 2.0 applications and technologies. The seminar included presentations on Wikis, YouTube, Del.icio.us, RSS, Flickr, Google Notebook & Blogs.
