Greening the Neighborhood brings together the Neighborhood Initiative, the Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service CCECS and the Landscape Design and Ecosystem Management Department LDEM to work with neighborhood institutions and residents to create rainwater catchment systems as well as vertical and rooftop urban gardens, in affordable and sustainable ways.

The project has four components: Water, Soil, Plants, and Structures. The teams are currently conducting experiments for the best designs, local plants, and more.
