Neighborhood Congestion

The Neighborhood Congestion Studies began during Winter 2009-2010 with an analysis of the conflict between walking and driving on Bliss Street at the southern edge of the AUB campus.  The research team, composed of faculty and students from Civil Engineering and Urban Design, made recommendations to transform Bliss Street, and is seeking input from relevant stakeholders and the general public.

The researchers are also exploring different scenarios for parking in the neighborhood, as well as innovative solutions for improving public transportation serving Ras Beirut.
