Pushing forward the construction of the food services facilities since many students are complaining about the lack of space to shelter from the winter weather.
Amending the bylaws of the USFC and SRC to answer all student concerns about real and fair representation of student elections.
Implementing an effective plan to maintain the tuition fees. The tuition fees imposed on the student upon joining AUB should not change from year to year. Just like the modifications in AUB Catalog affect only new students, so should the tuitions when an increase happens.
Restructuring the USFC website to market the committee and all future plans. Besides it should be interactive where students can post their opinions, comments, and ideas. The USFC newsletter should be regularly distributed also. Enhancing communication between the USFC and the SRC to insure that regular meetings are being held and projects are being put into practice by the majority.
Taking into consideration that most courses are heavily condensed and their finals are comprehensive, students do not have enough time to study for their finals due to the short reading period which has become only two days for the last few semesters. At least 4 days should be given to the students.
New students’ orientation programs must include in addition to the advisor’s lecture sessions by juniors and seniors who are familiar with the problems that new students will be facing i.e. choosing the right courses and their combinations.
Funding projects initiated by AUB students as well as supporting all SRCs like the business student conference. Integrating student faculty outreach activities in our community especially in Faculty of Health Sciences.
Improving the quality and quantity of computers in computer labs across the various faculties especially in Biology, Physics, and Geology departments. Coming up with a promising solution for the printers on campus. The Science Library has 3 or 4 functional printers for more than 1000 students. The Jafet Library printers are also breaking down. Increase the number of printers that print duplex papers to reduce paper consumption and thus favoring the environment.
