Inclinations & Abilities

Know About Your Inclinations

Self-Assessment is the process of gathering and understanding information about yourself to assist you in making decisions about a career. To know yourself is, of course, the task of a lifetime, but it is also the essential first step in the career development process. It involves analyzing the main elements of your career personality (interests, abilities, skills, aptitudes, and values) as well as identifying your strengths and weaknesses in order to figure out what you want to do. Thinking about these elements, as they relate to work, will help you to identify the career fields, work environments, lifestyle, and job functions that you want to explore.

Understand Your Preferences:

Learn more about yourself as the first step in choosing the suitable career.

Assess the following five aspects of your personality:

1- Interests and passions.

2- Skills and abilities.

3- Personality traits.

4- Strengths and weaknesses.

5- Preferred work environment.

Use the above assessment to build criteria for your job selection process.

Understand the world of work and salary ranges.

Find internships or training programs to gain exposure to your career options.
