Nature Captured - Team 

Nature Captured © was designed by an AUB team with multidisciplinary backgrounds:

Salma Talhouk, project leader, is a professor of landscape horticulture at the American University of Beirut. She is the chair of the Department Landscape Design and Ecosystem Management and former director of IBSAR. Her research interest currently focuses on investigating different approaches to actively engage various sectors of society in biodiversity conservation.

Miriam Mattouk, project coordinator, has a Masters in Psychoanalysis and the Contemporary Society Graduate. Miriam has 3 years of experience in photography and her area of interest is self-portraits through which the photographer can capture images that compliment or replace the concept of a written diary. Miriam has experience dealing with children from low socioeconomic backgrounds as well as orphaned children and children with various disabilities.

Wassim Kays, field coordinator, is an artist, with ample experience teaching various art mediums to school children. He is responsible for coordinating between schools and IBSAR, organizing field activities, and conducting workshops as well as designing and implementing community enabling activities. His area of expertise is mosaic tiling, and his pieces of art are sought after on a national and international level.
