Motor Vehicle

Please be aware of the obligatory insurance and your rights: All vehicles are required by law to purchase “ilzami” insurance or bodily injury insurance to cover personal injuries. Therefore, in case of injury as a result of a motor vehicle accident, you are requested to ask the driver for the bodily injury insurance (ilzami) of the vehicle and use this insurance to cover any medical expenses which may be incurred.

Please note that all vehicles on Campus are required to have third party motor vehicle insurance. In case of accident on AUB premises, please leave your name and phone number so that insurance reimbursement can be triggered.

All persons driving on Campus and employees driving outside the Campus are kindly reminded of the safety measures that need to be applied upon driving AUB vehicles:

• Seat Belts to be worn at all times.
• Cellular use is prohibited.
• On Campus speed limit is 15km/hr.
• Unattended running vehicle is prohibited.
• Going against traffic is prohibited.
• Reckless driving is prohibited.

Violation of the above rules will jeopardize the safety of the driver, passengers and the safety of AUB community/property.

Disciplinary measures will be taken against violators.
