I am sending this message to all the AUB students obliged to return to their countries of origin because of the dangerous conditions prevailing around our campus. We are resuming classes Monday, May 19, 2008. The Rafic Hariri International Airport has re-opened and the Ras Beirut area is calm and orderly. We know it may be difficult for some of you to return immediately. Nonetheless we hope that you will be able to return no later than May 26. Rest assured that upon your return, your professors and the university administration will do everything they can to help you complete your course work and your examinations in a timely manner. Please stay in touch through email and visiting the AUB web site. You are a very important part of AUB, and we want to see you back.
