Brave Heart Fund (BHF)
It's that time of the year again! The time when we ask you to tie your laces, slip on your BHF t-shirt and run. Your support is vital to survival of children suffering from congenital heart disease.
Four reasons why this is a great idea:
1- As you already know, it's really fun to be a part of the marathon.
2- It's healthy!
3- You don't have to be an athlete to participate. You can run, walk or dance your way to the finish line.
4- Most importantly, your participation can help save the life of a child!
Hero up and save a life!
A. Register your team of runners through BHF and each registered runner will:
1- Benefit from a reduced registration fee of 30,000LL instead of 35,000LL for the 10km run if you do so prior to June 22, 2012. Not only will your team be saving money, they will be saving the life of a child. Regular registration deadline has been set for September 14, 2012.
2- Receive a BHF goody bag with your BIB number, complimentary T-shirt (famous RED t-shirt) and cap to be worn on race day
3- Benefit from our very passionate (and loud) support on the race track
4- Be invited to a post-race home-cooked breakfast with the BHF team of friends at the BHF meeting point (at the arrival point)
5- Contribute to help save a child's life; the marathon will indeed donate a percentage of the registration fee for every runner registered through BHF
6- Fundraise by getting friends and family to sponsor his/her run. Every penny helps!
B. Volunteer to help the BHF organizing committee on race day
Volunteers can choose among several tasks: manning the BHF water station, the BHF tent, cheering BHF runners, etc. We will be happy to sign on community service hours for all students who participate.
What's the next step?
Run, skip or hop by our offices or give us a call at 01-350000 extension 5590 or 5592
Regular registration deadline: September 14, 2012
