Should the Lebanese Pound be pegged to the US Dollar or the EURO?
The AUB Finance Club and LEA cordially invite you to a seminar entitled: "To Peg or Not to Peg? And To Peg to What?" by Professor David Cobham, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK. Abou the lecturerDr. David Cobham is Professor of Economics at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh (Scotland, the UK). He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Manchester, and his research interests include monetary policy and central bank independence, primarily in the UK and continental Europe; European monetary integration; and financial systems. He has an interest in the economics of the Middle East, where he has worked on Islamic banking, financial systems and more recently on the Palestinian economy. Prof. Cobhams work on the UK monetary policy has been published in papers in National Institute Economic Review (2002), Oxford Economic Papers (2003), International Finance (2004), Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics (2005), and Economic Journal (2006). Prof. Cobham is a member of the Lebanese Economic Association and an Associate Editor of the Review of Middle East Economics and Finance.
