Attendance, August 16 - 31, 2006

As a follow-up to my circular of July 31, 2006 related to attendance; the University has decided the following measures:

1. Regular full-time non-academic staff grades 1 - 12 who will attend to their duties between August 16 and 31, 2006 will be paid an exceptional hardship allowance on a one time basis equivalent to LL 6,000 per working day.
   
   
2. Effective August 16, 2006, every day of absence from work will be charged as a full day of vacation to be deducted from the balance of 2005 - 2006 and/or 2006 - 2007 annual leaves. When all the vacation days are consumed, the employee will be on no-pay status.
