Internship and Work Study Vacancies

bullet Position title:Refurbishing Administrator L0

The incumbent will work with a team on an ongoing Computer Recycling Project to be run jointly by CCECS (Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service) and CNS (Computing and Networking Services).

Main duties include:

  • Implementing the various PC Recycling Project administrative processes
  • Managing a record keeping and tracking system for the project
  • Documenting the various processes and guidelines
  • Implementing the established operating procedures and quality checks
  • Liaising with various AUB actors and departments to collect, refurbish and distribute the recycled PCs

Required knowledge and skills:

  • Good knowledge of Office Automation software (Microsoft Office)
  • Basic knowledge of database management system applications
  • Friendly character and good verbal and written communication skills

Prerequisite:

  • Applicants should have completed at least one year in a Business and Management, or should possess proven equivalent knowledge.

Expected training and learning outcome:

  • Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and operating procedures (soft skills)
  • Ability to manage a record keeping system

Assessment and Certification:

  • Candidates will be assessed at the end of the work study period and will be granted a certificate attesting of the assessment result.
  • Candidates will have their names added to the published list of CNS work-study students for future employment reference.
  • Candidates might also be able to get a certificate of achievement from Microsoft for some of the accomplished tasks.
