Sunday Times of April 1 reported on the recent protests taking place in Syria against Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime. AUB professor of political studies Hilal Khashan said, “If Syria explodes, Iraq will explode, Jordan will explode and Lebanon will go down the drain. Newsday of April 10 reported that Kenyan Afro-jazz musician and renowned performance poetry artist Asali will perform at the Harare International Festival of the Arts (Hifa). The paper said that according to Wikipedia, Asali was born in Jerusalem and studied at the American University of Beirut.
