Zawya, AME Info, and Middle East North Africa Financial Network of March 1 reported that Enterprise Qatar, a newly established authority to develop and promote the small and medium enterprise entities in Qatar, has announced the launch of the SME Evolution Program, a free web-based training program for small and medium enterprises (SME's). Over a period of six months, the SME Evolution Program will go through two phases. In the first phase, the program will provide four live full-day workshops, as well as more than 48 webinars which will be delivered by experts and professors from international universities, including the American University of Beirut. AME Info of March 16 reported on a three day anesthesia workshop which was conducted for more than 20 residents at Hamad Medical Corporation. The workshop was led by four experts from Jordon, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Syria, including Dr. Anis Baraka from the American University of Beirut Medical Center. Zawya of March 16 reported that Rymco announced full enforcement of a no-smoking policy starting January 1, 2011. In 2010, Rymco was a main supporter of a new environmental study that aims to monitor the air pollution caused by traffic conducted by the Atmospheric and Analytical Laboratory at the American University of Beirut.
