Seminar on Developing Program and Course Learning Outcomes
Purpose: The seminar focuses on developing the major learning goals of programs and courses, including consideration of how the broader goals of university education can be translated into those goals i.e. alignment between course learning goals, program learning goals, and university mission.
Who should attend: Department chairpersons and two of the Department faculty members

- Definition of program and course learning goals
- Domains (types) of learning goals: Skills, knowledge, and attitudes.
- Alignment between mission, program learning goals, and course learning goals
- How to develop program and course learning goals
