Seminar on Developing Program and Course Learning Outcomes

Purpose:
The Seminar focuses on developing the major learning goals of programs and courses, including considerations of how the broader goals of university education can be translated into those goals i.e. alignment between course learning goals, program learning goals, and university mission.

Participants:

Full time faculty members and teaching staff. (Maximum number of participants is 20 per session)

 

Topics:

  • Definition of program and course learning goals

  • Domains (types) of learning goals: Skills, knowledge, and attitudes.

  • Alignment between mission, program learning goals, and course learning goals

  • How to develop program and course learning goals
