President's Club
"AUB students sip coffee in department lounges, work on computers in air-conditioned dormitories, type in Braille, take e-exams, pursue group learning in 'smart classrooms,' wash and dry clothes in dormitory basements, and play tennis and basketball at night. But not many have any idea where these amenities come from." — Laila Baroody, former chairperson of The President's Club
Welcome Contact Us

In September 1981 in the midst of the Lebanese civil strife, a group of dedicated and committed individuals who believed in the mission that AUB had set for itself over a century ago—"that they may have life and have it more abundantly"— decided to establish the President’s Club.

Yet, until today, very few students or even faculty members know much about the President’s Club and the abundance of facilities it provides for the students.

This website attempts to fill this gap by tracing the history, challenges, and achievements of the Club over the thirty years of its existence, with the hope that this will trigger the support of those who believe in its cause, and help the Club to pursue its aim, namely, of “enhancing the quality of life for students at AUB.”
