The safety and security of all AUB community members is of the highest importance to the University. In the event of unexpected developments, a set of contingency plans are in place to address a variety of situations. Members of the AUB community will be notified of relevant developments and, if necessary, procedures they should follow. We will be communicating through SMS, email, social media, and other electronic and non-electronic forms of communication.

The safety of our faculty, staff, and students is always our first priority. We continuously monitor events in Lebanon and across the region as they unfold. We respect that uncertainty and the potential for instability can be of concern to members of the AUB community, their families and friends.

Current events have not affected the academic programs at AUB or the quality of life on campus.

Should there be any changes in the security environment that directly affect AUB we will promptly inform the university community and take appropriate action. As always, we encourage all individuals to follow news reports from the region and all foreign nationals to consult the guidance of their representative governments.
