Faculty Positions AvailableAcademic Positions OpenThe American University of Beirut was founded in 1866 as the first American University abroad, and historically the premier university in the Middle East. AUB continues to attract highly qualified faculty and students and to provide education following the American model of higher education. The School of Nursing at AUB, founded in 1905, was the first nursing school in the Middle East. Its mission is to promote the highest educational standards of excellence, integrity, and professionalism in the science of nursing. The School of Nursing plays a leading role in the development of nursing knowledge and practice in Lebanon and the region and prides itself on its graduates who currently occupy leadership positions in the field of nursing in Lebanon, the region, and internationally. The School of Nursing currently offers three programs; BSN, RN-BSN & MSN. All programs are registered in the Department of Education of the State of New York and benchmarked against leading academic programs in the USA and Europe. The MSN focuses on Advanced Nursing Practice and Nursing Administration. Both BSN and MSN programs are registered in the Department of Education of New York State and have been recently accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) in the USA. AUB School of Nursing is the first SON to be accredited by CCNE outside the US territories. A number of academic positions are currently open. We are inviting applications from PhD-prepared faculty with expertise in Nursing Administration and Advanced Nursing Practice with emphasis on Pediatrics, Family, and Community Nursing.
