At AREC, Agriculture Science and Landscape Design and Eco-Management students spend half a year fulfilling their residency requirements. The 100-hectare farm, glasshouse and greenhouses provide excellent opportunities for students to participate in hands-on learning. Students have an exciting opportunity to see theory turned into practice. They participate in experiential learning by engaging and working with local communities in 12 surrounding villages in the Beqa'a region. Through this holistic approach, students are able to develop the fundamental skills to be the next generation of agricultural leaders in the Middle East and beyond. At AREC, students can also enjoy similar amenities to the AUB main-campus, including modern classrooms and dormitories, a lecture hall, laboratories for animal science and plant science research, a studio for landscape design and recreational facilities.
