When students are asked to describe their time and experience at AREC, the same phrase is commonly heard again and again: “It’s the life.” At AREC, students quickly gain a strong     sense of camaraderie as they live, learn, study and forge lasting friendships and memories together. AREC remains a significant part of many FAFS students’ undergraduate experience, long after their semester in the Bekaa is finished. As one student said of his time at AREC, “Every tree in the orchard has a story for me.” When Agriculture Science and Landscape Design students graduate, they refer to their graduating class not by their final year at AUB, but by the year they were at AREC.
