AUB has a strong financial aid program to assist its many able and qualified students who could not otherwise meet the cost of tuition. We believe that financial considerations should not become barriers to quality education for students who meet our academic criteria. Over 80 percent of students who apply for financial aid at AUB receive such assistance.
AUB’s financial aid program has grown to its present level of around $15.6 million in awards annually, through the generous support of AUB’s alumni and friends. We expect our total budget for direct financial aid to more than double over the next four years. AUB also seeks to continuously strengthen its loan programs. A new agreement, signed with two major Lebanese banks, paved the way for low-rate loan for AUB students with a repayment period of up to 11 years after graduation.
AUB has devised several types of financial assistance programs to cater to the needs of a broad range of undergraduate and graduate students. These include: Need-Based Financial Aid Grants; Need-Based Student Loans; Merit Scholarships; Graduate Assistantships; and Work-Study programs.
