Mrs. Jeannette Lozano was born in Chihuahua in 1949. Poet and translator. She
studied philosophy and has a Masters in Science Methodology and Spanish
literature. She was awarded the Rockefeller/Conaculta 2000 grant and the Banff/CONACULTA
2004 scholarship for translators and a national recognition for her book "Desierta memoria" as well as the Gonzalo Rojas 2001 Prize for her "Todo antes de la Noche".
She published some 10 poetry books. Her “Todo antes de la noche" appeared in French and has
just been translated into Arabic in Lebanon.
