Dr. Charbel Tarraf has been seconded as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at Mohammad Almana College for Health Sciences, Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in October 2009.

Dr. Imad Saoud has been awarded the Arab Fund Fellowship Program Distinguished Scholar Award in January 2009.

Dr. Nadine Darwiche received the Teaching Excellence Award (AUB) in June 2009 in recognition of her commitment to excellence in teaching.

Dr. Nadine Darwiche received the Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF) award in may 2009. 

Dr. Hala Mohtaseb was awarded the ISESCO Science Prize- 2008 in a ceremony at the inauguration of the "Fourth Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research-ICMHESR-Bringing Change through Scientific Youth Force, which was held on 6th-8th October, 2008, in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.
