Students should have a GPA of at least 80 or 3.0, good recommendations, some exposure to  Islamic Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, and/or Religious Studies, as well as some training in the humanities and/or the social sciences, Middle Eastern Studies, and some training in the social sciences and/or humanities to be considered for admission into the CAMES MA program in Islamic Studies. Since spaces in the program are limited, the admissions process to CAMES is quite competitive and a GPA of 3.0 does not guarantee admission.
