MA Program
Admissions
Applicants with backgrounds from most fields of study are eligible to apply for admission into the CAMES MA program, usually provided they have had some exposure to Middle Eastern Studies. A complete application includes the following:
- application form
- two letters of recommendation from professors (or one from a professor and one from an employer)
- official copies of all post-secondary transcripts
- GRE and TOEFL scores
- application fee
- photocopy of the passport
- one passport photograph
An updated curriculum vitae is also useful. Native English speakers and graduates of universities in which the language of instruction is English may be exempt from TOEFL.
The application deadline for each Fall semester is April 30, while the deadline for each Spring semester is November 1. Applications will not be forwarded to CAMES until the Admissions Office receives all supporting material. You may go to the AUB Admissions Office web page to download an application. Students should have a GPA of at least 80 or 3.0 and good recommendations to be considered for admission into the CAMES MA program. Since spaces in the program are limited, the admissions process to CAMES is quite competitive and a GPA of 3.0 does not guarantee admission. Further information can be found in the AUB Graduate Catalogue. For more details on how to apply, please contact the Admissions Office. |
