Arabic courses
Each semester, AUB offers the following Modern Standard Arabic courses: one Beginner's and one Intermediate Arabic course (5 hours per week each), and also one Advanced Arabic course (3 hours per week). Since each course takes up only 3 to 5 teaching hours per week, this is not an intensive program of Arabic study. CAMES also offers three colloquial Arabic courses in the Fall and Spring semesters: Introduction to Lebanese Arabic (5 hrs per week), Intermediate Lebanese Arabic (5 hrs per week) and Advanced Lebanese Arabic (3 hrs per week). Classes in Fall run from late September to February, and in Spring from February to June. The cost of each class is around $1,900 US Dollars. For course descriptions, click here.
Summer Arabic Program
The Center for Arab and Middle Eastern Studies (CAMES) also offers an intensive summer Arabic program which takes place each summer from late June until early August (6 weeks). The program offers Modern Standard Arabic for five hours and colloquial Arabic for one hour Monday through Friday. Click here for further information.
