To study Arabic at AUB, students may either apply to the intensive summer Arabic program offered by CAMES or apply to AUB as a non-degree student during the regular academic year. Once accepted, non-degree students may register for courses in any subject of their interest (Political Studies, Arabic, History, Philosophy, etc.)
For further information on applying as a non-degree student, please check this link.
Each semester, AUB offers the following Arabic courses:
Modern Standard Arabic
Colloquial Lebanese Arabic
Since each course course takes up only 3 to 5 teaching hours per week, this is not an intensive program of Arabic study. Classes in Fall run from early September to mid-December, and in Spring from late January to mid-May. The cost of each course can be calculated by checking the tuition fees for undergraduate courses and for graduate courses.
