Recommendation Forms:

Application Deadline
Applicants should make sure the completed application form and accompanying documents reach the CAMES office in Beirut no later than February 28, 2013. Applicants may submit the application form by email. Letters of recommendation may be sent by email, but directly from the recommenders to CAMES. If they are sent in the mail or by courier, they must be in sealed envelopes. Official transcripts must remain in their sealed envelopes and be sent by mail or courier. Unofficial transcripts may be submitted by email to meet the deadline, but admission to the program is conditional on our receiving official transcripts. Students who wish to send their application materials by airmail, courier or through AUB’s New York office should allow at least two weeks for the package to reach the CAMES office in Beirut. Applications received after the deadline will be reviewed and placed on the waiting list (if the applicant qualifies for acceptance).

Fees

Tuition fees for the program in summer 2013 are as follows:

Tuition for Modern Standard Arabic (obligatory): $4,380

Additional fees for optional services include:

Health Insurance: $155
Sports Facilities: $58

Accommodation on AUB campus:

$1,265 (private; single-occupancy room sharing the floor bathroom) - upon availability
$895 (semi-private; two double-occupancy rooms sharing a bathroom; women only)
$716 (double; double-occupancy room sharing the floor bathroom)

Payment Requirements
A non-refundable deposit of $500 is also required upon acceptance and will be deducted from each applicant's tuition fees. The full fees are due by May 15, 2013. If the full fees are not paid by May 15, 2013, the applicant may lose his / her place in the program. Accepted students who have not paid their tuition fees may not attend any part of the program, including Orientation Day. Payments can be made by check, cash, or bank transfer. Credit card payments are not accepted. Participants who wish to pay in the USA should mail a check to the AUB New York office, quoting "American University of Beirut / CAMES". Participants who wish to pay in Lebanon may come the CAMES office to get a bill and pay at the Cashier's Office in College Hall, AUB. Participants who wish to pay by bank transfer should email CAMES for details on how to do so.

Students may pay by check, cash, or bank transfer. Credit card payments are not accepted.
