GA Support for AUB Graduate Students

The Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR), in accordance with its mission to increase knowledge of the United States in the Middle East, is accepting applications for Graduate Assistant support for AUB graduate students with an interest in American studies, regardless of department.  Students who intend to conduct thesis research that deals with the U.S. (even if comparatively), and particularly those who take an interdisciplinary approach, are encouraged to apply.  Accordingly, awards will normally be given to students in the second year of their programs who have identified a thesis topic.  The award will cover tuition for two courses each semester and the standard GA stipend.  Interested students should send an Application for Graduate Assistantship, a graduate transcript, and an outline of proposed research (no more than three pages) to the CASAR office, 453 College Hall or to casar@aub.edu.lb.  The deadline for applicants for the Spring Semester 2012 is November 15, 2011.
