Course Description

 

Chinese 201 is designed to provide students with basic working knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin). The course exposes beginners and first beginners to Chinese pinyin (spelling with tone), Chinese characters, Chinese grammar, commonly used sentence structures, and simple but practical situational dialogues. The course provides a stepping stone for further Chinese language learning.
