The Education Students Society

The Education Students Society is a society within the education department. It is composed of education students and usually has about 13 members. The members of this society are always hard working, resourceful, team players, creative, and many more important characteristics. The Education Students Society has been running for years in the department and with each year that passes we are getting better known around the university and in other societies in the different departments.
In the past years the Education Students Society has been involved in many different activities. Every year we hold an education Iftar at a restaurant here in Beirut, where we join together the education students and the professors of the department. We also invite people who are not members of the department to have them get better acquainted with the students of the education department.  We also hold Christmas parties full of carols, dancing, and all around holiday cheer.

Activities:

1.      Reading Day: This is a day where we bring orphans from orphanages around Lebanon and we plan a fun filled day of plenty reading activities and they also stay for lunch with us. This activity involves students in and outside the department. This event will take place in early March.

2.      Annual Science, Math, and Technology Fair: This is an event that has been a tradition for many years at AUB. It involves education students, professors from in and outside the department, and it also involves an average of 24 different schools from all over Lebanon which come to AUB for three days with different projects. This event is full of fun, competition, and ideas. This event will take place from the second of May to the fourth of May in the indoor basketball courts of lower campus.

3.      Pledge: This is an event that takes place a few days before our seniors graduate. This event is the Pledge ceremony where education seniors and TD students pledge to be lifelong leaders in the education community.
