Managing the Institute of Financial Economics with major objectives to promote research and other academic activities on the MENA region in financial, monetary, macroeconomics, and international economics. Emphasis is placed on policy-oriented empirical work pertaining to the Arab and other developing areas and collaborative team work is promoted. Such research has proven to be beneficial to governments and organizations concerned with the design of economic and financial policies, especially in the MENA region.
