Amy Clary, Assistant Professor of English.

Amy Clary received her PhD in English from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her research examines the role of wilderness in American literary history. Several of her articles on wilderness have appeared in journals such as Works and Days and Interdisciplinary Humanities. Her article “Claiming Alaska: Legislation and Différend on the ‘Last Frontier’” was published by the University of Paris-Sorbonne’s series Frontières. She also has a book chapter titled “(Un)Mapping the Wild: Jon Krakauer’s Into the Wild, Thoreau’s Walden, and the Textuality of Wilderness” forthcoming in an edited collection.
