- The Research Committee shall consist of the Dean as Chairman and six members elected by the Faculty, two from each of the following groups of disciplines: basic and natural sciences; humanities; and social sciences.
- The Research Committee shall seek to establish conditions favorable to carrying out research by members of the Faculty.
- The Research Committee shall coordinate research activities throughout the Faculty and shall collaborate with the University Research Committee.
- The Research Committee shall allocate research funds made available from the Arts and Sciences budget.
- The Research Committee shall accumulate and disseminate information on research-supporting agencies and their fields of interest.
- All regulations and guidelines evolved by the Committee shall be presented to the Faculty annually for its information.
