If you have taken the TOEFL and scored between 81 and 87 or the equivalent in other tests, you may take this course. In order to progress to ENGL 300, Writing in the Disciplines, and enroll in the accepted major during Fall 2012-2013 without retaking the TOEFL or another English placement test, you must score 70/100 as an average in the UPP course.

Furthermore, if you have not taken any English placement test, you may register in the course, but you may not join your regular program (ENGL 300 and major desired), unless you pass the course and obtain a minimum of 81 on the TOEFL or its equivalent.
