Visiting Fellows Program at the CRPH
The Center for Research on Population and Health (CRPH) at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut is pleased to announce its visiting fellows program for the academic year 2011-12. This exceptional opportunity allows fellows to visit the CRPH for one to three months to collaborate with its affiliates on current research projects, utilizing the Center’s facilities and data resources for this purpose.
The CRPH research program is currently exploring the demographic factors, social conditions and economic circumstances influencing various dimensions of health, focusing on prevalence of dementia, social inequalities in health, tobacco control, war and global health and youth and sexual reproductive health.
Eligibility: Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree, be affiliated with a university or research institution in the region, and have good working knowledge of English.
Duration of Fellowship: One to three months.
Application deadline: January 30, 2012.
Financial support: The CRPH provides support for the fellow's visit in terms of living expense stipend; travel expenses to and from Beirut (including emergency travel and health insurance); and the cost of suitable temporary lodging.
