Control Self Assessment

A process whereby the individuals directly involved in the day to day operations of a department evaluate the procedures and internal controls associated with their work.   Internal audit can provide training in the CSA process or act as facilitators in the process thereby closing the gap between theory and practice by exposing participants to the concept and the practice of CSA.
