The Office of the VP for Information Technology was established in June 2010 with the appointment of Ms. Rita Khayat-Toubia as its first Vice President for Information Technology (VPIT) and Chief Information Officer (CIO).

The office is responsible for defining the Information Technology (IT) strategy, identifying and evaluating emerging IT solutions and directing AUB's efforts in implementing IT priorities across the AUB campus and the AUB Medical Center.
