"I'm excited to bring my IT experience from the corporate world to this prestigious organization to help achieve its mission and advance its goals through IT," said Khayat-Toubia. "Deploying strategies that effectively and efficiently use technology across the AUB campus and for the variety of its constituencies will require a great deal of vision, teamwork and commitment. I'm looking forward to working closely with the AUB leadership and with the IT teams to help both the University and the Medical Center get to the next level."

Prior to joining AUB in June 2010, Ms. Khayat-Toubia held various leadership positions as Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Information Technology at Proxim Corporation in the United States.

Ms. Khayat-Toubia received her bachelor's in economic sciences from the University of Bordeaux, France; a master's in business administration and computer sciences from ISIM, France; and an engineering degree in business administration and information systems from Polytech Montpellier (ISIM, Institut des Sciences de l'Ingenieur de Montpellier), France. She is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
