Recording Lectures |
|
|
The Multimedia Unit offers three different ways to record your lectures. We can either videotape your classroom lectures or teach you how to screen capture/audio capture your presentations.
Videotaping Lectures
|
The Design and Media Unit uses HD video capturing for class lectures, presentations and other educational activities. To be eligible, lectures have to be used for the purpose of teaching and learning and uploaded to at least one of the following sites:
- Moodle course (applicable for AUB faculty lectures only)
- Digital Repository (public access)
- AUB YouTube Channel (public access)
Videotaping requests should be made at least 36 hours prior to the recording session. Videotaping Request
IMPORTANT NOTICE: ACPS now charges a small fee for videotaping all AUB public lectures (this excludes videotaping of AUB course lectures). The charges are 75,000 L.L for the first hour and 45,000 L.L for any additional hour.
Note: To record university events, outreach activities, faculty-related research, and promotional videos, please contact the Office of Communications.

Screen Capturing and Editing
|
|
The Multimedia Unit can assist you in recording an onscreen activity for lectures, tutorials, or even as a welcome addition to your Moodle course. Whatever you do on the computer screen, such as moving the cursor, launching a new program, typing some text, clicking a few buttons, or selecting menus, is automatically recorded with CamStudio. The output video can then be edited using Windows Movie Maker or any other video editing tool. Request a Session
