Introduction

A mailing list is a list of people's email addresses that can all be reached by sending email to a single address. Managing a list of lots of people, or lots of lists, gets tedious quickly, so there are email list server programs like Majordomo to automate parts of this task. Folks who are interested in joining a list can send mail to the list server and automatically be added to the list.

To join a mailing list, send mail to majordomo@aub.edu.lb and enter the following command in the body of the mail message:

subscribe listname

replace listname with the name of the list that you want to subscribe to.

To send a message to the people on the list, address your email to listname@aub.edu.lb .
