AUBMC celebrated the inauguration of its Executive Health Program (EHP) in a ceremony on the eighth floor on Monday 23rd August, 2004. The ceremony was attended by Vice President for Medical Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the Medical Center Dr. Nadim Cortas, AUBMC Director John Rhoder, Chairman of Internal Medicine Dr. Kamal Badr, and EHP Medical Director Dr. Nabil Nassar in addition to departmental chairpersons and heads of administrative units at AUBMC.

The EHP aims to deliver state-of-the art, immediate and personally-tailored medical care to managers and busy executives who have no time to secure medical care in the classical way. The program offers six packages based on age, gender, potential risk factors, and the individual's past medical and family history. It emphasizes wellness and healthy living by focusing on identifying lifestyle, hereditary factors, and applying preventive interventions for early detection of serious conditions such as cancer and cardiovascular disease.

An executive participating in the EHP will be lodged in a comfortable executive suite, equipped with all material comforts and external communications facilities. Upon admission, the executive will undergo a comprehensive prescheduled medical examination carried out by a qualified physician over a day or two. Laboratory tests and all other additional examinations and consultations will also be provided. Prior to discharge, the attending physician will discuss the preliminary results with the executive patient, providing him with a report that includes recommendations and relevant instructions.

The EHP will also provide travel assistance to program participants and their accompanying family members, including airline and hotel reservations, as well as the required transportation to and from the medical center, in addition to information on leisure and touristic activities in Lebanon.
