Film Star Angelina Jolie Visits Campus

"Thank you for making my Christmas so special," said Hollywood star and UN goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie on December 25, 2004, while visiting the young patients at the St. Jude Children's Cancer Center at AUBMC.
She and her adopted four-year-old son Maddox, who accompanied her on the visit to the center, were spending their Christmas holidays in Lebanon. As part of her goodwill tour in Lebanon, Jolie also stopped at several orphanages and Palestinian refugee camps. |
At St. Jude, where Jolie sang Christmas carols with the children, she was received by the director of the center, Dr. Nasir Shamma', and by Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Nadim Cortas, Medical Director Miquel Abboud, General Manager Nassib Nassir, and Dr. Samar Muwaqqad.
