The Hostler Student Center was made possible through a generous grant from Charles W. Hostler, former US ambassador to Bahrain and AUB MA in 1955.

The center  includes the following facilities:

• Gym, used for Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Tennis, Badminton, Indoor soccer and Hockey, and may accommodate any future indoor sports.
• Three offices space for the Athletics Department
• Two Fitness Centers for Machines and Free weights
• Two Squash Courts
• Martial Arts and Aerobics Room
• Chess and Table-Tennis Room
• 6 lanes indoor Swimming and Diving Pool
• International standard 6 Lanes Track used for all Track &Field events
• Green Field for Soccer and Rugby
• Two outdoor Basketball Courts
• Showers, Toilets, Lockers, Team rooms, Storage rooms, Machinery and Equipment rooms.
• Restaurant and Café Services
• Underground Parking
• Security Booths
• Internet Lounge

Effective Friday June 06, 2008 users of CHSC facilities must be either members or will have to pay $10 per visit.

a- The form is published on the CHSC website,  http://staff.aub.edu.lb/~webchsc/
under membership program.

b- Below are the steps that should be taken in order to complete the membership program:

1- Complete the form with the required information and submit. After 72hrs the user will receive an e-mail message from the University Sports Office whether Application is Accepted or Rejected and why.

2- In case of Acceptance the user will have to pass by our offices at the Hostler
Center with a valid ID to get a sticker on it.

3- As for the family members a copy of the Lebanese ID or passport should be
presented at the ID center, in order for them to be issued an ID.

4- For payments in cash, a print out of the completed application from the system should be presented at the cashier's Office for payment (copy of the receipt is required for the University Sports Office,USO; a sticker will be put on the valid ID.

5-Those who are on payroll, but don't have an AUB net-account, should fill a hard
copy form at the USO.

The University Wellness Program is designed to create a healthier work environment by providing the American University of Beirut community with programs, facilities, services and incentives that promote and support healthy lifestyle choices . AUB strongly encourages you to participate in the wellness program  activities and services that impact health.

Last spring semester the Wellness Program organized walking groups on campus to encourage faculty and students to take up walking as a habit.
