Perhaps because their peers (not to mention their families) come from all over the world, AUB has always had students who are passionately interested in sharing their perspectives with and learning from others.  It is the mission of OIP to de-mystify study abroad for these passionate students, to help them find quality study abroad experiences, to prepare them for a successful experience and to assist them in completing degree requirements while abroad, so that they can graduate on time.

The support team for study abroad includes the entire Beirut staff of the OIP, which is to say the Director, two graduate assistants and two work-study assistants.  It also includes many supportive offices outside the OIP, most notably the Registrar and Student Accounts,  and many faculty advocates who assist students in getting approval for course transfer.

 Our walk-in advising center, in West Hall 320, is staffed Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM until 4:30 p.m during the fall and spring semesters. We look forward to welcoming study abroad information requests there. At OIP our motto is not only "Welcome to AUB" but also "Welcome to the World."
