Transition to AUB

Once you have received your offer of admission from the Admissions office, it is the role of the Office of International Programs (OIP) to assist  and support your entry into Lebanon and  AUB.  The services that OIP can provide are detailed below; they do not include assisting you in obtaining a visa, but we do make some recomendations below.

Maintaining legal status as a foreign student in Lebanon

Please see Visa Recommendations and Information on Residence permits in the menu to the right; and please be aware of the following information.

  • Before you can study in Lebanon, you must have an up-to-date passport which will not expire until six months after you intend to return to your home country.
  • Any indication of having visited the State of Israel, including stamps from the land border posts in Jordan and Egypt, will result in denial of entry privileges to Lebanon
  • All non-Lebanese individuals studying in Lebanon require a student residence permit; even if those from Gulf and regional nations.
