Mission
The Career and Placement Services, which is part of the Student Affairs Office, provides guidance and resources to students and AUB graduates for their life-long career development by facilitating their exploration of career options and development of effective career life planning skills. It is further committed to assist organizations in meeting their hiring needs for the mutual benefit of students and AUB graduates as well as employers.
Goals
The Career and Placement Services is currently expanding its efforts to help undergraduate and graduate students. Our aim is to promote self-awareness regarding career planning, help students know more about their abilities, skills, values and the world of work as well as to enhance mature decision-making. The CPS seeks to provide effective career guidance, career skills development, guidance for graduate studies and placement services.
Confidentiality
To be effective and successful, the relationship between you and a member of the Career and Placement Services staff must be based on trust to maintain confidentiality. For this reason, we will not release personal information about any student without his/her written consent or in case of life-threatening situations.
This means we will not supply information to: (1) AUB faculty, staff or administrators; (2) parents, guardians or other family members; (3) outside agencies.
Resumes and cover letters will be made available to interested employing firms.
Eligibility
Career and placement services are available to all registered AUB undergraduate and graduate students. We also provide placement services for AUB graduates. These services are free of charge and are provided on a voluntary basis. |

You may stop in at the Office during our working hours or call us to make an appointment. If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, call and cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
The Career and Placement Services is located in West Hall, first floor, Room 112E.
